The Sporting Car Club of South Australia (SCCSA) is aiming to increase usage of the Barossa Valley venue, which has hosted hillclimbs since 1952.
Everything from motorsport and motoring events to markets, music festivals, food and wine activations and a pop-up outdoor cinema are on the menu under the grand plan.
The SCCSA has also received a $100,000 grant from the South Australian Government to help build the new Collingrove clubrooms.
“Collingrove has been part of South Australian motorsport culture for generations, but this is about making sure it continues to thrive for generations to come,” Frith said.
“Collingrove is a unique South Australian asset with enormous potential, not only for motorsport, but for tourism, events and the broader regional economy,” Mayor Lange said.
