Committee topics included:Education Assessment and Accountability Review Subcommittee: Members discussed updates from the Education Professional Standards Board and reviewed district data profiles for the 2025 school year. IJC on Education: Members heard from a variety of stakeholders in primary and secondary education. BR on Transportation: Members received updates on planned highway construction projects scheduled to be awarded during fiscal year 2027, along with expected construction spending over the current two-year budget cycle. Members also discussed the fiscal year 2026 budget closeout with the Office of the State Budget Director. Finally, members discussed the use of a real-time crime index to provide more timely crime data, improve public safety analysis, and support informed policymaking.
