The Mineral Springs City Council was unable to hold its regular monthly meeting Monday night because a quorum was not present. Meanwhile, the Dierks City Council was able to conduct its regular meeting Monday night, although Mayor Ronnie Cogburn was not in attendance. Fire Chief Chase Quinn reported that Engine 2 is currently out of service due to mechanical problems. Quinn reported that, despite Engine 2 being out of service, the fire department still has five trucks in operation. The City Council approved the resolution, allowing the city to move forward with the grant application.
