Used car dealer anxiety surrounding the impact of electrification has plummeted to a 45-month low amid rising demand for electric vehicles. Just one in three (33%) used car dealers say they are worried about electrification – the lowest figure since October 2022, according to Startline Motor Finance’s ongoing analysis. The monthly research asks dealers to name the biggest challenges facing used car retailing. Paul Burgess, CEO at Startline Motor Finance, said extensive recent market feedback highlights rising demand for EVs. According to data from auto data provider Cazana, used EV residual values surged by nearly 7% between March and July 2026.
