General Motors is set to sell its half of a planned USD 3.5 billion EV battery joint venture in Indiana to partner Samsung SDI, according to Bloomberg.
Samsung SDI is poised to buy the 680-acre property, take over the JV and own the New Carlisle, Indiana battery-making facility, the Bloomberg report said.
In March, GM and LG Energy Solution announced they would transform an EV battery plant in Tennessee to make batteries for BESS.
The Indiana plant was announced two years ago as an investment between GM and Samsung SDI.
Honda has said that it will discontinue the Honda Prologue, its only battery electric vehicle currently sold in the United States.
