The Western Kentucky Parkway near Caneyville is reduced to one lane for the next month. Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 4 spokesman Chris Jessie said the parkway has been reduced to one lane from the westbound 95-mile marker to the 96-mile marker. The left lane reduction will be in effect through September 14. “Traffic will be reduced to one lane … utilizing barrels, signs, and crash cushions for the next five weeks to make permanent slide repairs from spring flood damage,” Jessie said. “Slide repairs” refers to stabilizing a landslide, embankment failure or roadway slip where the earth supporting or surrounding an interstate has given way.
