Veeda B. Embry, age 89, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Sunday, (August 09, 2026) at the Heartford House in Owensboro, KY.She was born on June 29, 1937 in Tilford, KY, the daughter of the late Ben and Artie Embry. She always treated her grandkids equally – if she got something for one, she did it for all of them. She was always there for her kids, and you could feel the love that she had for her family. She worked as a cook for the Grayson County School System and was a lifelong member of Welches Creek Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, (August 15, 2026) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield.
