A drunk driver drove to a Leitchfield liquor store with his two small children in the car. When officers arrived at the scene, they found 28-year-old Michael B. Harp, of Leitchfield, “passed out behind the wheel of the vehicle …,” according to the arrest citation. Harp’s two children entered the store alone and had the car keys with them. Police, while speaking with Harp, observed “open liquor bottles” inside his car. Harp admitted, the citation states, to driving the vehicle to the store and to drinking alcohol prior to driving.
