In a rural community in central Wisconsin with a mysterious past, there’s a shocking murder. That’s the premise of a new supernatural mystery novel by Wisconsin author Isabelle Spotts. EmailSpotts told Wisconsin Public Radio’s “Wisconsin Today” that she drew inspiration from her hometown of Necedah for the setting of her debut novel, “Saint Delilah,” released on Aug. 11. Isabelle Spotts: It’s definitely based on my hometown, or I would say loosely based on my hometown, which is Necedah, Wisconsin. RF: And helping Delilah solve her own murder is the character Magda, and I love the line: “Magda wasn’t a witch, but she had her ways.”
