United Way Hastings & Prince Edward’s School Supply Drive in support of the Backpacks for Success program, hosted by Lange & Fetter Motors in Trenton, wraps up Fri., Aug. 14. Donations of school supplies will help provide local students with the tools they need to start the school year ready to learn. This year, more than 1,100 students will receive a brand-new backpack filled with essential school supplies at a fraction of the retail cost. Community members are encouraged to donate new school supplies throughout the five-day collection, including pencils, sharpeners, pens, scissors, notebooks, lined paper, binders, highlighters, erasers, glue sticks, pencil crayons, and more. The Backpacks for Success program wouldn’t be possible without the generous support of local sponsors.
