The Pettis County Commission is announcing that the Glenn Road Bridge will be closed by noon Friday, August 14 following a recent inspection by the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT). The County has been closely monitoring the bridge for the past two years, with MoDOT conducting inspections approximately every six months. During that time, the Commission has explored options to safely extend the bridge’s service life while also preparing for its eventual replacement. In preparation for the bridge’s replacement, in 2024 the Commission initiated plans for a complete replacement of the bridge through the Bridge Replacement Off-System (BRO) program. The Commission will provide additional information regarding the closure as it becomes available.
