SALINE COUNTY CERTIFIES RESULTS OF AUGUST PRIMARY
[]
KMMO – Marshall, MO
Saline County Clerk Brittni Burton has announced the certification of results from last week’s primary election.
Election judges, Republican Leo Grothaus and Democrat Pam LaFrenz, conducted a hand count of the 560 absentee ballots cast, after the precinct was randomly selected at the beginning of the process Monday, Aug. 10 in the clerk’s office.
The judges were also tasked with determining the eligibility of a provisional ballot that was cast, which was deemed a valid ballot.
Four mail-in ballots that had arrived after election day were rejected, in accordance with state law that requires such ballots arrive at the election authority no later than 7 p.m. the day of the election.
The official results are now posted on the Saline County Clerk’s website.
