The Fayette Board of Aldermen authorized the purchase of a utility vehicle for the electric department at their July 28 meeting. City administrator Deanna Cooper says the UTV will provide a more economical way for crews to get around town to respond to calls where their heavier trucks aren’t needed. Aldermen also approved two sewer waiver requests at last month’s meeting. The board is scheduled to meet Tuesday at 6 p.m. to consider next year’s property tax rate, budget amendments, and an annual ordinance concerning Fayette’s community development block grant efforts.
