It's ribs over rain in Brockville

Special to The Recorder and TimesAs the ribbers stoked the smoke, creating mouth-watering ribs, the 24th Brockville Ribfest at Hardy Park scored another success on the weekend, triumphing over its number-one adversary, the weather.
“It looks like the weather is going to co-operate today and we will finish strong,” said Bev Heuving, program director at BGC South East, on Sunday afternoon.
“I’m feeling good about where we will land fundraising wise, but it’s too early to tell,” she added.
The market set up just outside the entrance has the feel of a Middle Eastern bazaar, where a bargain might be negotiated.
The smoke rising from roasting ribs, imbued with the aroma of signature sauces, wafts through the air, enticing one to enter if they dare – dare resist the ribs.
