A man from Bowmanville has been arrested after allegedly attempting to flee police in a stolen vehicle. Article contentOn Saturday at about 12 p.m., Grenville County Ontario Provincial Police were advised of a stolen utility van from the City of Kingston. A short while later, police say officers received a traffic complaint saying that the vehicle was eastbound on Highway 401. According to the OPP, officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle, but the driver refused to stop and fled the area. Shortly after, at about 1 p.m., police said, Grenville OPP officers intercepted the suspect vehicle and deployed a tire deflation device, and the vehicle came to a safe stop on Highway 401 in the township of Augusta.
