Torfaen Borough Council has agreed to support the employment costs for a fixed three year period with the Garnsychan Partnership. It will be supported for three years by Torfaen Borough Council with the transfer of staff, under TUPE arrangements that protects workers’ terms and conditions, having been agreed by the Labour cabinet member for communities, Councillor Fiona Cross. As part of the confidential decision, which was published on August 4, Cllr Cross also approved the transfer of annual grant to the Garnsychan Partnership. A council spokeswoman said: “The transfer is from Torfaen County Borough Council to Garnsychan Partnership. The funding award relates specifically to employee costs for an agreed three-year period.”
