July 12, 1938 — August 10, 2026Wayne was born at home just east of Cahone, Colorado, the third child of Ted E. James and Velma Fosnot James. The family later moved to Cortez, Colorado just a few days before Pearl Harbor Day. They lived there until February 20, 1948, when they moved to Monticello, Utah, which he called home until September 1972 when he moved to Moab. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Richard James, sister Joy Christensen and his wife Daisy James.
