The Cooperative Election Authority (CEA) has ordered the election to fill the casual vacancy of Vice-Chairman of IFFCO’s subsidiary arm, Indian Farm Forestry Development Cooperative Ltd. (IFFDC), with the election scheduled for August 18, 2026. In an order, the CEA appointed the District Magistrate/Collector, Gurugram, as Returning Officer to conduct the election under the Multi-State Cooperative Societies Act, 2002, as amended in 2023. The vacancy arose after Guru Prasad Tripathi, who was elected Vice-Chairman in June 2024, was subsequently elected Chairman on June 25, 2024. He resigned from the post of Vice-Chairman the same day, resulting in the casual vacancy. IFFDC had approached the CEA on March 11, 2026, seeking an election to fill the vacant post.
