HANOVER, N.H. (WCAX) – A cyclist with a personal mission is riding from the Dartmouth Cancer Center to New Jersey starting on Tuesday. John Matthews will pedal the five-day, 425-mile ride to MD Cancer Center at Cooper in Camden, New Jersey after promising his mother he would help other families facing the disease. Matthews’ mother died of lung cancer 10 years ago. Matthews’ organization, Ride Hard Breathe Easy, partners with cancer centers including Dartmouth, to get donations straight to lung cancer patients and caregivers. Matthews has personally pedaled more than 14,000 miles for the organization.
