NILES -- No charges were filed following a weekend disturbance between neighbors, where one person said a gun was involved. According to a police report, officers were called to an Evans Street residence for a dispute between the resident and their neighbor on West Street, and the Evans Street caller said a woman at the residence had gone into the house and grabbed a gun. The report states there were approximately 20 people between the two houses yelling at each other when the officer arrived. She admitted putting a magazine in the gun, but she said she never racked a round into the chamber, the report states. All four individuals declined to write a witness statement, which resulted in no charges being filed.
