Forty-one FFA members from across the country have earned the opportunity to run for national office, beginning a rigorous selection process that will culminate at the 99th National FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis this October. Each state FFA association may nominate one candidate annually, and those students then participate in an intensive interview and evaluation process led by the National FFA Officer Nominating Committee. This year’s committee, made up of nine student members, will interview candidates before selecting the six-member National FFA Officer Team for 2026-27. “Serving as a National FFA Officer is a rare and demanding honor,” the organization said. More than 70,000 members, advisors, alumni, supporters, and industry partners are expected to attend the annual event, which features leadership sessions, career and leadership development events, the National FFA Expo, student workshops, and the announcement of the 2026-27 National FFA Officer Team.
