YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Association of Fundraising Professionals Mahoning-Shenango Chapter on Monday announced the 2026 honorees for local National Philanthropy Day Awards. National Philanthropy Day recognizes the impact of philanthropy and the individuals and organizations that have embraced philanthropy as a way of life. This year’s honorees are:Outstanding Philanthropist: Dr. Melinda Smith. Outstanding Volunteer Fundraising Group: Congregation Ohev Beth Sholom. Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser: Jason Cottrill.
