Trump order directs Justice Department to sue states over vaccine exemptions
[]
JURIST – News
President Donald Trump signed an executive order Monday urging states to scale back school immunization requirements and directing the Attorney General to pursue litigation against states that fail to provide religious and medical exemptions.
States, not the federal government, set immunization requirements for school entry, and the order only “advises” states and territories to consider updating their laws.
The order states that it creates no rights enforceable against the government.
Section 3 gives HHS 90 days, acting through its Task Force on Safer Childhood Vaccines, to submit plans on single-antigen vaccines, dose timing and sequencing, alternatives to aluminum adjuvants, and safety monitoring.
Breaking up vaccines will mean children have to get more shots to get the same protection, not fewer shots.
