Winemakers’ Cookoff announces this year’s winnersFour categories recognized food, beverage pairings, and presentation– Organizers have announced the winners of this year’s Winemakers’ Cookoff, which raises money for local youth scholarships. A panel of judges selected the Professional Chef Award winners based on the food’s quality, creativity, technique, and execution. Independent judges from the culinary and wine industries selected the Judges’ Award winners after evaluating each team’s food, creativity, execution, and food-and-beverage pairing. Sextant Winery and Paris Valley Road Winery placed second in the category, and Dubost Winery placed third. A committee selected the Spirit Award winners based on booth themes, team enthusiasm, costumes, decorations, and interaction with guests.
