Cheshire Police Chief Constable Mark Roberts to step down

Cheshire Police Chief Constable Mark Roberts has announced he is to retire from the force.
Chief Constable Roberts said: “For me, policing has been a vocation and privilege, and I am immensely proud of everything that I have achieved over the past 33 years.
“I was the tactical commander for the 2011 riots and found great satisfaction as Deputy Chief Constable as we turned around the future of South Yorkshire Police.
He moved to Cheshire Constabulary in 2014 as an Assistant Chief Constable.
In 2017, he joined South Yorkshire Police as Deputy Chief Constable, until 2021 where he rejoined Cheshire Constabulary as Chief Constable.
