Blind veterans in Indianapolis receive Ray-Ban Meta smart glassesINDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Blind and visually impaired veterans in Indianapolis are receiving new high-tech tools to navigate daily life more independently. The Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses, which resemble standard frames, feature built-in cameras, speakers and artificial intelligence. Bosma Enterprises, Meta and the Blinded Veterans Association partnered for a two-day event in Indianapolis to provide eligible veterans with free Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer glasses and hands-on training. During the training sessions, veterans learn to make phone calls, send text messages and use live translation features through voice commands. Meta aims to assist hundreds of people in Indiana and has a national goal of distributing 130,000 pairs of glasses.
