POLICE have seized an imitation gun after a vehicle was stopped in Enniskillen at the weekend. Members of the Local Policing Team in C Section Enniskillen stopped the vehicle during an operation on Friday night. “During one such stop, Officers carried out a search of a driver and their vehicle and as a result located an imitation firearm, which was seized,” a police spokesperson said. Advertisement“Thankfully, this wasn’t a functioning firearm, but at first glance there may be little to distinguish an imitation from the real thing. “Our Officers are out day and night, using their policing powers and professional judgement to identify concerns, stop vehicles and take action before something more serious happens.
