Revolut has secured a regulatory milestone for its French subsidiary, Revolut Bank S.A., by obtaining authorization to operate as a bank. The Fintech already counts roughly 30 million users throughout Western Europe, nearly eight million of whom signed up during 2025. At the same time, its established Lithuanian operation, Revolut Bank UAB, continues to anchor activities across the rest of the European Economic Area. Revolut Bank S.A. is expected to roll out services gradually, beginning with customers in France before extending to Germany, Ireland, Italy, Portugal and Spain in later stages. Founder and chief executive Nik Storonsky described the license as the foundation for delivering next-generation banking to more than 30 million Western European customers.
