Early afternoon traffic stop leads to 2 arrests in Prosperity1/32/33/3NEWBERRY COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– An early afternoon vehicle chase led to two arrests in the Prosperity area of Newberry County, say deputies. Deputies conducting an investigation in Prosperity attempted to stop a vehicle displaying an expired license tag. Deputies were able to stop the vehicle on CR Koon Highway near Bachman Chapel Road. During a search, an amount of high grade marijuana, trafficking amounts of methamphetamine, cocaine, crack cocaine, and two firearms; one being known as a “cop killer” gun capable of penetrating most bullet resistant vests. Johnson is charged with possession of a weapon during a violent crime, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, trafficking in cocaine, and trafficking methamphetamine.
