Srikakulam District Collector Swapnil Dinakar Pundkar Stated that 737 buses would be run from all across the Srikakulam district to the Bhogapuram airport in Vizianagaram district on 1 August, 2026, according to The Hindu. The collector stated that all the arrangements were in place for the public meeting to be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the airport premises on Saturday. Meanwhile, TDP leaders in Srikakulam district are expressing happiness over the construction of the airport at Bhogapuram. "Bhogapuram, Pydibhimavaram, and Etcherla all lie along the same stretch of National Highway 16. Now, the airport, an aviation university, and the Reliance Data Center will further drive the region's rapid development.
