Jackie, a bald eagle in California who became an online star, died on Monday after receiving weeks of veterinary treatment. Jackie was being cared for by Ojai Raptor Center, a wildlife rehabilitation organisation, after she was attacked by other eagles. A livestream featuring the Big Bear Valley nest of Jackie and her partner, Shadow, has hundreds of thousands of subscribers. Jackie and Shadow had been mates since 2018, the Friends of Big Bear Valley website said. It has been an extraordinary privilege to care for her," the Ojai Raptor Center said.
