Previously, users could only import data from Apple Health, HealthKit and Apple Watch, but couldn't send Fitbit-collected data back without relying on third-party utilities. The latest Google Health 5.05 update removes this limitation by allowing workouts, steps, sleep information and other supported metrics collected through Fitbit devices (such as the Versa 2) to sync directly with Apple Health. The new option is available via Google Health app's Partner apps section, where iPhone users can link Apple Health and choose the permissions they want to grant. The additions come as Google continues to refine its Google Health app following the replacement of the Fitbit app earlier this year, addressing user feedback while expanding interoperability with competing platforms.
