From Philly and the Pa. suburbs to South Jersey and Delaware, what would you like WHYY News to cover? On a stretch of beach in Wildwood, New Jersey, a couple of volunteers from Jefferson Health helped Amanda Parezo onto a 10-foot longboard surfboard in the sand. Parezo, who is paralyzed from the waist down, wore a bright pink rash guard and faced the ocean on her belly. A larger group of people soon formed a circle around her and bent down to grip the edges of the board. In unison, they lifted Parezo into the air and carried her out into the water, like a queen in a litter.
