WARANGAL: An apple-laden DCM vehicle overturned on the Warangal–Khammam National Highway near Matedu village stage in Thorrur mandal of Mahabubabad district on Thursday evening. On learning about the incident, people from nearby villages rushed to the spot and scrambled to collect the fruits. In the rush, individuals took away as many apples as they could, and within minutes, the entire load in the vehicle was almost cleared. The accident site turned chaotic for a while, leading to disruption of traffic on the highway. The cause of the accident, the condition of the driver, and details of property loss are yet to be ascertained.
