A local preservation organization is stretching its wings to Grundy County. Preserve Chattanooga has landed a preservation easement for the Highlander Folk Library in Monteagle. The Highlander Folk School drew labor and civil rights leaders for training. The easement protects the building’s historic character while letting it stay open for use. Preserve Chattanooga has similar easements for the Tivoli Center, the Dome Building and Terminal Station here in town.
