The anti-terror coalition in Iraq has decided to delay its expected response to the US-Saudi attacks on July 29, which resulted in the deaths of members from the Popular Mobilization Units (PMU).
Iraq is poised to lodge a formal complaint with the United Nations in response to military strikes conducted by the United States and Saudi Arabia on the Popular Mobilization Units (PMU).
It has been reported that the Iraqi prime minister has directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to lodge an official protest.
The Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) emphasized that these actions targeted Iraq’s recognized security institutions.
In November 2016, Iraq’s parliament sanctioned legislation conferring full legal recognition to the Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) fighters.
