Pittsfield — Closed for renovations since January, the Berkshire Museum welcomed the community to celebrate the grand reopening with a Community Reopening Celebration Day on August 8, 2026. One gallery over, you will find “Mediterranea: American Art from the Graham D. Williford” which contains paintings on loan from the Williford Foundation. The exhibit features the work of American artists who painted in the Mediterranean region during the turn of the 20th century. “It’s exciting to have visitors back in the museum again,” Berkshire Museum Marketing and Communications Director Shane Frasier.
