Crews from the Pullman Fire Department and Whitman County District 12 contained the fire. The cause of the fire remained under investigation as of Monday afternoon. The Pullman Firefighters Facebook page reminded the public to properly dispose of their cigarette butts, secure their trailer chains so they don’t drag and cause sparks, and to use extra caution with vehicles and equipment around dry fuels.
