The commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) commended Rezaei for his strategic foresight and expertise in uniting military operations with diplomatic efforts. Rezaei’s involvement in the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) may facilitate enhanced strategic coordination between military operations and diplomatic efforts, while also bolstering political and economic security with a focus on resistance and optimism, he stated. The commander announced that the IRGC is fully prepared to collaborate in pursuing the objectives set by the Leader during Rezaei’s tenure. Ayatollah Khamenei announced on Sunday the appointment of Rezaei as his representative to Iran’s supreme national security council, the country’s chief decision-making entity on security matters. In accordance with the decree, Masoud Pezeshkian has named Rezaei as the new secretary of the SNSC.
