Commander National Strategic Command General Syed Aamer Raza has been conferred the prestigious Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military) in recognition of his distinguished and extensive services to Pakistan’s armed forces. The award marks another major milestone in the military career of General Aamer Raza, a senior officer who has held some of the Pakistan Army’s most strategically important command and staff appointments. Before assuming his current four-star command, General Raza served as Chief of General Staff at General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi, one of the Army’s key senior operational and planning positions. Commissioned into 6th Lancers in 1988, General Raza went on to command the regiment from 2007 to 2009 before taking on a series of major field and institutional responsibilities. After his promotion to four-star rank, General Aamer Raza was appointed Commander of the National Strategic Command**, placing him in one of the country’s most sensitive and strategically significant military positions.
