Former rescue squad chief enters plea
['Dick Mangrum']
101.7 WGOG
A former chief of the Walhalla Rescue Squad, William David Tatum, pleaded guilty last week in the Oconee General Sessions Court to the charge of breach of trust under $2 thousand dollars, according to a prosecutor.
Assistant solicitor Cory Jones says the offense is a misdemeanor, and Tatum is required to make restitution to resolve a case that originated in 2025 with Tatum’s arrest.
It also, says Jones, relieves the requirement that Tatum be confined to home incarceration.
