The psychiatrist who saw Lindsay Clancy in the months before she killed her children faced questions from Clancy’s defense attorney about the mother of three’s treatment. As the murder trial against Lindsay Clancy continues, a mental health professional who treated her has taken the stand. On Aug. 10, Clancy’s former psychiatrist Dr. Jennifer Tufts continued her testimony, speaking to Clancy’s treatment in the months before she took the lives of her three children, then attempted to take her own life. According to Dr. Tufts, Clancy had not mentioned suicidal thoughts in their sessions until December 2022, less than two months before the killings. Dr. Tufts replied that “it does surprise” her.
