Officers said neighbours of grow houses in residential areas might see indications such as rental houses with infrequent visitors, often at night or in the early morning, permanently blacked-out or shuttered windows, irregular lighting at night, excessive heat from power pits on footpaths, and regular brown-outs or power surges in the street.
