Fresno State Football legend Derek Carr is trading in blue and cardinal for blue and gold for the time being.
UCLA announced Monday that Carr will join the football team as a special advisor to Head Coach Bob Chesney.
Along with serving as a special advisor, Carr will assist the offensive staff with game-planning strategy and will work with the quarterbacks.
Driving the news: The connection to UCLA for Carr comes with Bruins’ General Manager Darrick Yray, who coached at Fresno State from 2008-2014.
Carr’s career: Carr started at quarterback for three years at Fresno State, throwing for 12,843 yards and 113 touchdowns over his collegiate career.
