A judge rejected a defense lawyer’s motion to set bond for a Westminster area man facing the charge of murder. Judge Sprouse in the General Sessions Court ruled that, unless a trial date is scheduled, the attorney for Coax Arnold Sanford V may renew the bond motion in 90 days. Sanford was arrested in February and charged with murder in the investigation of the shooting death in 2015 of Jesse Eugene Mulkey, 33 years old. Mulkey was found with a gunshot wound to the chest. He later died at a Greenville hospital.
