BUENOS AIRES, August 11. At least 169 people were killed in the powerful earthquake that struck western Colombia on August 10, Blu Radio reported. The largest number of deaths was recorded in the cities of Cali and Pereira, it said. Earlier reports put the death toll at 132. Search and rescue operations are continuing.
