In June, Thailand’s economy stayed stable with rising private consumption and exports, despite a decline in manufacturing and tourism. Merchandise exports and private investment also increased, driven mainly by technology-related products, although these activities relied heavily on imported inputs. Meanwhile, manufacturing production declined across several categories, while tourism-related services softened in line with lower foreign tourist arrivals. Private consumption and manufacturing production also softened despite support from government measures toward the end of the quarter. Nevertheless, the economy remained supported by the global electronics upcycle and data center investment, which contributed to sustained growth in private investment and merchandise exports.
