Nebraska Democratic Party files restraining order to stop the certification of Working People PartyLINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Today, the Nebraska Democratic Party (NDP) and the national Working Families Party (WFP) have filed a motion for a temporary restraining order and temporary injunction in Lancaster County District Court. The goal is to stop Secretary of State Bob Evnen from certifying the Working People Party (WPP) as an official Nebraskan political party. The chair of NDP said the party is meant to help Sen. Pete Ricketts. “Working people in Nebraska know who’s actually fighting for them, and it’s not a fake party built on stolen branding and Republican signature gatherers.”
