Kennett resident Danny Bugbee, 47, died Sunday from injuries he sustained Thursday after his electric bicycle collided with a Missouri Highway Patrol vehicle. Bugbee is Troop E’s 35th fatality this year. According to patrol reports, Bugbee was operating a Ridestar electric bicycle when he failed to stop at a stop sign and traveled into the path of a southbound patrol car, a Dodge Durango. Bugbee was flown to Regional One Medical Center in Memphis, Tennessee, for treatment. Arrangements are pending with Powell Funeral & Cremation Services in Kennett.
