MALDEN — The Malden City Council heard some good news at its regular meeting last Monday when it received the results of a Missouri State Auditor investigation of the city. The report found no fraud or wrongdoing in the process of its investigation, giving the city a clean financial bill of health. The state auditor gave it a look and (gave us) a clean bill of health. The council also heard from Amy Tanner, who requested that city liens be waived on several tax-sale properties that she recently purchased. The next city council meeting is slated for Aug. 17.
